The day hike is a challenge that allows a client to see what kilimanjaro is all about whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery around. This hike is managable especially for people who either don't have enough time or the financial capacity to do the full hike. The trip has beautiful wildlife such as the Monkeys colobus and blue velvet, there is beautiful bird sightings and most importantly the vegetation such as the Eucalyptus trees are not something to be missed. The trip will begin on a pick up at your hotel and drive for about an hour to the Marangu gate which is where we will begin the hike. We will hike to Mandara hut which is about 2700m and on the way we will have the opportunity to see the Maundi crater which you will be able to see the soroundings including Northen Tanzania and Kenya. After having a well packed lunch we will hike back to the park gate where we will begin our drive back to Moshi town.

During this section of the hike, you should expect rain, mud, and fog. Also, be on the look out for wildlife, including Colobus monkeys! About halfway up the trail you will have a lunch break and you will reach the Machame Camp (2980) in the late afternoon or early evening. The porters and chef, who move very fast up the mountain, will reach camp before you and set up your tents, boil drinking water, and prepare snacks for your arrival. After washing up, a hot dinner will be served.

The Lemosho route is considered the most scenic trail on Kilimanjaro, granting panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. As one of the newer routes, Lemosho is a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low crowds, beautiful scenery and a high summit success rate. Most of our clients climb Kilimanjaro using this route and they consistently report that they loved it. Thus, Lemosho is highly recommended.

The 6-day Marangu Route records a low summit success rate of about 50%! Since climbers tend to rush to reach the summit. Skipping one extra acclimatization day can significantly lower the average success rate of 50%. The Coca-Cola Route, which is the only route that uses huts instead of tents as a type of housing, is also known as the Marangu Route. On the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, it is one of the most popular routes.

Enjoy a one day safari from Moshi to Lake Chala. A guide will take you to the lake where you will spend your day doing various activities. Lunch will be provided. After your day on the lake you will be driven back to Moshi for a short tour of the town.

We’ll pick you up from your Moshi hotel early morning for the hour-long drive to the Chemka Hot Springs. The road is very bumpy and windy, so hang on! The Lemosho route is considered one of the easier routes on Kilimanjaro, as its longer itinerary allows for better acclimatization. However, hikers will still need to ascend the Barranco Wall and climb steeply on summit night. The 8-day Lemosho climb gives one of the highest success rates, rather than trying to squeeze the climb into 7 days. The extra day allows for a shorter pre-summit day, meaning that you arrive at base camp by lunchtime, fuel up with food, and tuck up in your tent to rest for what will be a tough summit ascent starting at midnight. Experienced and already acclimatised mountaineers may opt for the more difficult 7-day ascent along the Lemosho route. No technical climbing is required, but a good level of fitness is recommended.

Tarangire National Park is popular for having the largest number of elephants per square foot as well as baobab trees. With its beautiful scenery  proximity this park is usually assigned with the northern circuit itinerary along with other national parks like Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. The elephants fill this park like cattle while the lions roam the grassland plains looking for their prey. Due to water scarcity most animals in the summer would be found along the riverbed digging for water. It is close to Arusha town making ideal for a day visit.
