Marangu route, Nickname "Coca-Cola" route, is the oldest, most well established route on Kilimanjaro. This is the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style accommodations in lieu of camping.There are 60 bunk beds each at Mandara and Kibo Huts, and 120 bunk beds at Horombo Hut.Guests are supplied with mattresses and pillows, but sleeping bags are still required.The huts have communal dining halls and basic washrooms, ranging from flushing toilets and running water at the lower huts to long drop toilets and buckets of water at Kibo Hut.Many favor Marangu because it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, given its gradual slope and direct path. However the short time frame of the route makes altitude acclimatization fairly difficult. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the southeast. Marangu is unfortunately less scenic than the other routes because the ascent and descent are along the same path. It is also the most crowded route for that reason.

Mount Meru stands at a height of 4,566 m, and mark as the second highest mountain in Tanzania and the fifth highest on the African Continent. Its distinct appearance was formed around 250,000 years ago by a tremendous volcanic eruption that destroyed the entire eastern flank, leaving a horseshoe-shaped crater. Not only does Mount Meru boast impressive views and diverse vegetation, it also gives you the chance to see some wildlife in the form of a walking safari. On your trek you might come across large game such as giraffes, buffaloes, baboons, elephants, antelopes and colobus monkeys. As the vegetation changes from dense mountain rain forest into heather and moorland and finally alpine desert, the frequency of animals you will see becomes scarcer, shifting your focus from animals to landscape. You will be accompanied by an armed park ranger on your tour.

This territory has the perfect mixture of climate and soil to produce some of the best coffee in Africa. While at the village you will get to explore the lives of the Chagga people and do coffee tours, harvest, roast, and grind and make a cup of coffee. Normally we ask our clients to try roasting and preparing a fresh cup of coffee the Chagga way. After a delightful coffee tour you will head to the waterfalls passing through coffee and banana plantations. Along the way your guide will teach you about local plants and how they are used for food and traditional medicine and how they make local brew, as well as giving you more insight into the local Chagga culture. You will have your packed lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon at the waterfalls. The mountain waters falls straight down in a shimmering curtain to splash in the rippling pool where you can float, take a swim and chill out – literally, as these are pure mountain waters and not yet heated by the sun.

This is the ideal itinerary if you want to see the largest herd movement of animals on the planet and go to the best national parks in Tanzania's north. This trip will concentrate on the western Serengeti. The great migration occurs from May to July across the Grumeti River. The route continues up to the lowest of Kilimanjaro's 3 dormant volcanoes at Shira Ridge. Lemosho Route is a long route and we recommend an 8 days itinerary.

Rongai has a relatively moderate slope. As a newer route, it is more remote and arguably more beautiful, but a bit longer and slightly more expensive. It starts on the Western side of the mountain at the Londorossi Gate which is a further drive from town, and was introduced as an alternative to the Shira route. After beautiful forests and moorlands it crosses the Shira Plateau on day 3 to connect with the Machame Route at Lava Tower and down towards Barranco Valley via the Southern Circuit. You may be lucky enough to see buffalo, elephant and other game. Because this route can be done over a longer period of time for acclimatization, it has a higher success rate of the summit.

Very similar to Lemosho route, however it starts at 3,600 meters and is therefore not ideal for trekkers who have little or no experience of high altitude trekking. On the first day you begin at Shira Gate to Simba Camp before joining the Lemosho Route on day two at Shira Camp 2. The high starting point is however a major negative for this route as many experience altitude sickness from day one without enough time to acclimatize. The route over the Shira Plateau has several possible variations.After Shira Camp 2 the route joins the Machame Route via Lava Tower, and then descends to the Barranco Camp via the Southern Circuit. Ascent to Uhuru Peak is made via Barafu Camp and up the southern slopes of Kibo. The route is seldom used by other trekkers and so your initial two days on the mountain are less crowded than on most other routes.

The Rongai Route is one of the easiest routes and the success rate is very high. The route starts on the north side of the mountain just south of the Kenyan border, and is one of the least traveled routes. The descent is down the Marangu Route on the south side of the mountain, so climbers see the mountain from many view points. The drive to the trail head takes about 3 hours from Moshi through many villages and coffee plantations, including a stop to register climbing permits at Marangu. The Rongai Route can also be accessed from Amboseli National Park in Kenya. Allow 2 hours including border crossing. We will need copies of passports ahead of time.

Lake Manyara is a good soft introduction to the safari experience. It is a magical and pretty park that winds its way around a mainly forested driving route between the banks of soda water lake and the impressive rise of the Great Rift escarpment. The Serengeti National Park is justifiably famous for its huge concentrations of wildlife, especially the big cats, as well as being the stomping ground of the Great Migration, a massive accumulation of 1.5 million wildebeest, The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera in an exceptional geographical position, forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 sq. km with sides up to 600m deep. It is home to as many as 20,000 to 30,000 wild animals at any given time. The last national park on your itinerary is the Tarangire National Park, The park also offers stunning scenery with its baobab-dotted landscape and presents a breath-taking concentration of elephants during the dry season.

Tarangire National Park is well known by its wildlife such as elephant, buffalos, impala, warthog, python climbing tree and many other bird species.

Lemosho Route is one most favoured route to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro because of its all-encompassing perspectives of the mountain from different side and high summit achievement rate. Trails on the route are loaded up with the fluctuated beautiful scenery of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The route is less swarmed when contrasted with different routes making it perfect from first-time trekkers. The route because of its more extended timetable gives better acclimatization to the climbers, which augments the opportunity of an effective summit.

The Kilimanjaro climb 8 days lemosho is the best for acclimatization.The remote is less used and beautiful way up to the Shira Plateau. The minimum duration for the Lemosho route is 6 days, however we strongly recommend hiking the route in 8 days. The additional 8th day will give your body more time to acclimatize, reducing the effects of altitude sickness and give you more time to rest before attempting the summit.
