Visit the well known Bran "Dracula's" Castle and the magnificent Peles Palace in Sinaia. The tour will also give you time to buy souvenirs and eat some snacks. Departure from Brasov, visit Bran Castle. The guide will present the story of the castle together with the legend vs. truth about the cruel Vlad Dracula - The Impaler. We give time for the souvenir market just outside the castle where you can buy several "Dracula” gifts, but also local handmade artefacts of wool and wood. The tour continue then to the Peles Palace in Sinaia - the Pearl of the Carpathians. Approaching the castle you will be enchanted by relaxing atmosphere in the nature; The inside visit will be the highlight of your day; the detailed ornaments in every room will take you back to the early 20th century and make you admire every inch of it's art work. Visit Poienari Fortress, the real Vlad Tepes' Residential Castle and we drive on Transfagarasan highway, built as a strategic military route, is the second-highest paved road in Romania and considered by some to be the most dramatic. Driving on Transfagarasan Highway as know as "the Road to the Sky", "the Road to the Clouds", "the Best Driving Road in the World" and even "A spectacular Monument to Earth-Moving Megalomania"! IMPORTANT: !!!Due to some construction works on the road, the tour might take longer than usual!!! Transfagarasan road is open in 2024 between June 7 - October 31! When the Transfagarasan road is closed (November 1 - June 30) we drive up to the Balea Waterfall (no visit of Poienari Fortress and Vidradu Dam). If the weather conditions allows, we take the cable car up to the Balea Lake (extra 20 euro/person). We visit the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey of Carta and the amazing Sambata de Sus Monastery, also.

May-November .Meet your driver-guide at your hotel from Brasov in the late afternoon and set off by air-conditioned minivan or car ,and you will go by car for about 40 minutes in the forests around Brasov . As you travel, gain fascinating insights into the brown bears, hearing how they can grow to enormous sizes, with some males reaching up to 770 pounds (350 kgs). Learn about their lives in the wild, and how their sharp sense of smell is vital in ensuring their survival. We will meet with the Rangeer who will show us the rules that we have to respect in the habitat of the bears.Then we will walk about 20 minutes or with a jeep to the observatory . Here we will see the brown bears in their environment. We will photograph males, females with chickens and their interaction. We will definitely, 100%, see bears. After about two hours, we leave the observer, we will return to the van.You will be left in Brasov at your hotel.

Our Small-Group Trip to Libearty Bear Sanctuary from Brasov will take you from the city to Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Zarnesti. The driver will take you to the Sanctuary, there you will meet the guide from the Sanctuary which will take you inside and explain you what is happening in this awesome place. The tour with the guide from the Bear Sanctuary takes about one hour and represents a walk along a forest path of approximately two kilometers. This way, you will discover the stories of the bears that are now living in the sanctuary, the purpose of this place and you may ask questions. The bears’ want to tell you something: This is not a zoo! It’s our forest. Please respect it! Do not throw us food, because we don’t need it! Do not use the flashes! They bother us! Do not eat or drink in front of us! It’s rude! NOTE: Children under five years are not allowed inside the “Libearty” Bear Sanctuary, for safety reasons, for the smooth running of the visit and for the welfare of the bears.

We guarantee that you will see at least one wild brown bear during this tour! Several bears show up almost every time and occasionally even foxes and other wild animals. The guide speaks fluent English is born and raised in the Brasov area and has lots of knowledge about the brown bears. Rain doesn't affect this experience in a negative way. Bears aren't bothered by it and neither the tourists as we go directly from car to hideout. Built by a professional photographer, the bear hide in the Tusnad area is designed to offer tourists one of the best bear watching experience in Romania. A one-way mirror window prevents bears from seeing inside so that tourists can safely watch these animals from as close as 10 meters. Sometimes they even come right to the windows. The bear hide is specially built on the ground, at the same level with the animals and they are completely safe. Moreover, they are perfect for professional and also amateur photographers. You will be picked up from your location in Brasov and taken to Tusnad area, where you will participate at the bear watching activity. In the end, you will be dropped off at your location in Brasov.
