Book with us a once in a lifetime experience! A hiking trip along the crest of the Fagaras Mountains is indeed beautiful, but difficult and challenging! Did you know? It is said that the name "Fagaras" is coming from the word "fagar", an old word which represents a large old beech forest. In ancient times, the bottom part of the Fagaras Mounatins were covered with Oak forest. Now remains "Dumbrava Vadului", where, among the oak trees, we have daffodils (Narcissus stellaris), locally known as coprine. In Fagaras Mountains there is "Mioarelor" galcial lake (2282 m), the highest glacial lake in the Carpathian mountains. In Fagaras Mountains there are 8 of the 14 peaks of the Carpathian mountains that reach the altitude of 2500 m: Moldoveanu (2544 m), Negoiu (2535 m), Coltul Vistei Mari (2527 m), Lespezi (2522 m), Cornu Caltunului (2510 m), Vanatoarea lui Buteanu (2507 m), Hartopu (2506 m) and Dara (2500 m). Here there are over 42 peaks with altitude between 2400 and 2500 m.

We will be bikeride along the villages from the neighborhood of the city Brasov to see some of their attraction as : National Reserve Lempes from Sanpetru , Cismasu Lake from Bod , Fortified Church from Harman . We will also pass through the forests that surround Brasov and we will follow the unpaved roads that connect this historical places . We will also see flocks of sheep brought by shepherds to their pasture as their predecessors did hundreds of years ago .

At around 8 AM your guide will pick you up from your location in Brasov and transfer to the starting point at Dambu Morii. Start hiking and after about 1 hour you will reach the Seven Ladders Canyon, carved by the Sipoaia stream in Jurassic limestone. You will go right through it on the special trail built with metal and consisting of seven ladders and multiple bridges. After exiting the canyon, you will continue your hike up to the Piatra Mare hut, at 1630 meters. After a short break, begin climbing to the peak, at 1844m. From the top, you will have fantastic views over Brasov area and the surrounding mountains: Bucegi, Piatra Craiului, Baiului, Postavaru, Ciucas. Depending on weather conditions and fitness level of the participants, you have several routes on the way down. One of them leads back to the hut where you can have a well deserved lunch. Continue down to base, get in the car and get back to your location in Brasov.

Enjoy a special day learning how to ski or snowboard with a certified instructor in Poiana Brasov. Starting with the 8:00 A.M. pick up from your accommodation in Brasov, followed by a short 20 minutes’ drive to Poiana Brasov, getting geared up at a very good located rental center with the help of your instructor and continue with a 2 hours lessons, that’s how the first part of the day will go. After the two hours, you have the opportunity to explore the beauties of Poiana Brasov or to continue to practice, on your own. The Unirea Mine is the result of the excavation of 2.9 million m3 of salt deposit that created cavities with gigantic volumes: 14 rooms with a trapezoidal profile of approx. 80,000 sq m. In the Unirea Mine (Salina Slănic Prahova), visitors can decipher the millennial history of the Roman people by admiring the salt bust of Burebista, and in the “Hall of Genesis” they can admire the salt sculptures representing the two great leaders, Decebal and Trajan, surrounded by elements specific to the Dacian and Roman peoples. Together, you will discover what to avoid, what you can pick and what you must not touch. Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation and together, you will go in the forests around Brasov in search for wild mushrooms, plants and forest fruits. Hiking and foraging isn't easy, depending on the terrain, so keep in mind that you have to be fit in order to walk around the forest, sometimes on steep terrain, loose rocks or mud. Depending on your schedule, the tour can take between three to six hours. You will decide when you want to stop, together with your guide. In the end, you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
