Our walking tours of the city are led by our very passionate guide, a true expert of the Lucchese heritage and history. Starting the tour from Piazzale Verdi, we'll walk into the heart of the city to reach Piazza San Michele. The guide will illustrate the history of the city throughout the ages, including the fascinating architectural changes that made the city as it looks today. We'll visit Via Fillungo, the bustling commercial road of Lucca, and see Piazza Anfiteatro, built on the ruins of the ancient roman amphitheater. Our guide will also tell us about the life and curiosities of Lucca's most celebrated citizen, the famous composer Giacomo Puccini. Marvel at the facade of San Martin Cathedral, and follow the labyrinth carved on the wall outside the church! Finishing the tour with a short walk on the walls of Lucca, we'll then head back where we started, with a lot of facts and anecdotes on our beautiful town. We can organize the tasting directly at your home or at the hotel where you are on holiday The experience always includes an introduction to wine tasting, the history of the territory and wineries. We will then move on to wine tasting accompanied by bread, cheese, cold cuts and oil from local production. These are wines selected from small producers, mainly organic certified, in love with their work and the territory. At the end of the tasting you can take the bottles home or to the hotel so you can enjoy them during the holiday.

During the journeys I will tell you the history of the area and its traditions, the vines and the peculiarities of the area. We will visit 2 beautiful wineries representative of the Bolgheri area (usually Chiappini and Grattamacco, alternatively Tenuta di Vaira and Le Novelire) and, after touching the vineyards and visiting the cellars, we will taste the wines produced in combination with local products. Between visits, a lunch based on typical local products in the heart of the beautiful village of Bolgheri (not included in the price). The Monti Pisani are a mountain range that marks the natural border between the cities of Lucca and Pisa. Inhabited since prehistoric times, this place has been able to enchant famous people who have also changed the face at this land. Highlights: • Admire the Romanesque parish of S. Maria del Giudice. • Walk through the garrigue and discover the wild plants of the Mediterranean shrubland. • Visit a site of hermits from the 1100s, still visible today. • A unique view up to the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We will tell you a lot of stories, showing you hidden corners of this area, accessible only by water. On the half way we will stop for a snack, fruits and dry fruit, water. All along the trip you'll be paddling slightly pushed by the river, watching fishes and birds. Along the banks of the river natural areas we will find small villages, an ancient Roman aqueduct, ancient and newer bridges, some villas and castles. The 10 km paddling downstream are easy for anyone, beginners or expert, the river from Lucca will bring you slowly crossing the villages of Ponte San Pietro, Santa Maria a Colle, Nozzano Castello, until the old destroyed castle of Ripafratta with a small but beautiful waterfall.

We offer a shuttle service that will take you to Lucca, the starting point of the e-bike tour. After a brief introduction by our local guide Pietro, we'll explore Lucca, visiting the famous "Piazza dell'Anfiteatro" and cycling along the ancient city walls. For lunch, enjoy a refined picnic in the peaceful San Rossore Park, home to deer. Afterward, we'll cycle to Pisa, reaching the Leaning Tower in Piazza dei Miracoli. This idyllic combination of our self-tour aboard our Fiat 500s with the picnic lunch of our partner winery will take you on a most authentic journey around unexplored back roads of the Lucchese countryside. Starting from our shop, you will follow our GoogleMaps itinerary to pass underneath the Neoclassical acqueduct and through the lush scenery of Compitese, an area famous for it's olive oil and natural landscapes. Arriving then at the winery, the hosts will prepare for you a picturesque picnic set by the shade of the olive groves. Local cheeses and cold cuts, "giardiniera" style pickled veggies and other Tuscan classics (like bruschetta) will be paired with the wines of the property, in a series of simple pleasures that go a long way. Please note that the picnic has to be paid on the spot and is not included in the price. After lunch you'll continue down the road and over the mountain to arrive at a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the Massaciuccoli Lake, before heading back.
