Nyerere National Park – formally known as Selous Game Reserve
A newly established Park is part of what is known as Selous Game Reserve. Founded in 2019 and covering over 30,000 square kilometres, now the largest National Park in Africa. The park boasts Tanzania's largest elephant population and many lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Species commonly seen are bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks and zebras.
The park has the most extensive range of safari activities, from Romantic Boat Safari along the Great Rufiji River, legendary fly camping trips, walking, and classic game driving in thriving wildlife areas.
Remmy started the Eco Camp (located 150 km from Dar es Salaam and 45 km from Morogoro) as a space to accommodate volunteers who came to work on different projects - safe water, education, solar energy, reforestation and health care. It is the perfect place if you enjoy nature, rural life and are keen to learn more about the local communities! The food served at the camp is organic, they use fruits and vegetables from their own garden, whenever possible. Start your experience with a tour of the local market to buy a few ingredients. Then join Remmy and his family in the cooking area for your community cooking class, where you will prepare three dishes in a 2-hour class. After cooking, sit down to share the meal you helped prepare.

The Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a sumptuous forested reserve, a rare tropical forest that is home to a realm of unique plants, birds and animals & the sacred preserve of hikers and walkers.

Magoroto Forest Estate is Tanzania’s newest forest retreat situated near Muheza, Tanga; about 6 hours drive from Dar es Salaam. Formerly a Game Reserve since 1951, Mkomazi was upgraded into a ‘National Park’ status in 2008. It is located 6km from Same town, covering an area of 3,245square km. The name ‘Mkomazi’is a combination of two words from the Pare ethnic language; “Mko and Mazi”. “Mko” means a traditional tiny wooden spoon used by the Pare people for eating and “Mazi” means water. This implies that water in the Park is hardly enough to fill up the wooden spoon.
