Whilst much of the filming took place in the South of Scotland the true location of the Jacobite Strongholds are to be found in the Highlands.Like all my tours this will be a laid back and relaxed day and flexible in every respect. The tours are conducted in a luxury van type vehicle which has excellent head and leg room and adult sized seats for all occupants. Complimentary water is carried in the vehicle and WiFi is also available wherever reception allows. During your tour you will see some beautiful Scottish scenery. Our first stop of the day is Clava Cairns followed by Culloden Battlefield. You may wish to walk the battlefield for free or choose to pay entry into the visitor centre. We will visit Urquhart Castle which is located on the shore of Loch Ness. Our final stop of the day is Beauly Priory with is one of three priories founded in Scotland in about 1230 for monks of the Valliscaulian order. We will stop along the way for lunch, the location can be agreed on the day.
You will be picked up and dropped off at Invergordon cruise port. As this is a private tour you will have flexibility to amend the tour within reason, please note this is required to be done in advance of your tour date.
