PLEASE NOTE: In the 2026 cruise ship season this tour will no longer visit the Nessie Centre. Instead it will go to Outlander’s Clava Cairns, used for the idea of Creag na Dun. This tour visits Loch Ness and the visitor centre to learn all about Nessie and it goes to tour Urquhart castle. You’ll see Inverness too and highland cows. Our tour is based on a quality experience from feedback from our customers in 2019. We are a new company who aim to please and our guides will offer you local knowledge and answer all your questions. Our tour will depart 30 minutes to 1.5 hours after the ship’s arrival. This tour can be in anything from 8 seaters to 49 seaters depending on numbers.

Collecting you from the Port gate we travel along the shore of the Cromarty Firth and cross the Cromarty bridge to the Black Isle and make our way to Beauly Priory , the 13th century Monastery built for an order of Valliscaulian monks from Dijon in France and destroyed by Cromwells forces in the 16th Century. We will then make a brief stop to see some Highland Cattle ( see photo ) before we carry on over Culnakirk Hill to Drumnadrochit and visit Urquhart Castle which sits on a promontory jutting out in to Loch Ness , the views of the Loch are fantastic from here and it was near here where St Columba is reputed to have seen the Loch Ness Monster. We then head towards Inverness and as we come in to Inverness we pass the Hill of the Fairies. We stop to see the Cathedral and The Old High Church and we pass Inverness Castle and the statue of Flora Macdonald before we travel out to Clava Cairns and have lunch at Cawdor Castle before concluding our tour at Culloden Battlefield.

This is a private and exclusive tour for you and your friends from Invergordon Port. We start our tour by taking a scenic drive north over the Struie road to the viewpoints overlooking the Dornoch Firth. The second viewpoint has been described as The Millionaires View. Continuing on we head in to the county of Sutherland and stop at The Falls of Shin where we may see some Atlantic salmon leaping the falls. We continue driving along the firth to Golspie and Dunrobin Castle , this is the largest castle in the north of Scotland and is the ancestral home of the Sutherland clan , we see a very impressive Falconry Display here. After leaving Dunrobin we drive to Loch Fleet National Nature reserve where we have the opportunity to see seals and otters and various seabirds and waders. It is a short drive from Loch Fleet to the lovely little town of Dornoch where we visit the Cathedral and stop for lunch. We enjoy lovely views of the Beauly Firth as we head to Beauly Priory. Originally built in the 13th century by monks from Dijon, France, much of the main structure remains. From here we'll head over the hill to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy exploring this fascinating landmark whilst admiring the unrivalled views of Loch Ness. We then pass through Old Inverness, stopping to enjoy the river and more, before heading for Cawdor Castle & Gardens and the 4000 year old Clava Cairns. Our final destination is Culloden Battlefield, site of the last ever battle fought on British soil and where the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion came to its tragic end.
