Travel between destinations and visit sights along the way. Stop to visit the medieval fortress of Monteriggioni before spending leisure time in the hill-town of San Gimignano browsing the many stores or savouring the rich cuisine in one of its many restaurants (not included). In the afternoon visit the Chianti town of Greve in Chianti and the picturesque hamlet of  Montefioralle before having your Private driver drop you off at your Florence destination.

Together we will embark on a journey going back in time to discover the fascinating history of one of the greatest Medieval cities in Italy. We will follow the routes walked by ancient pilgrims, admire architectural jewels, such as the wonderful Duomo and the stunning shell-shaped Campo Square, we will visit St Dominic's Church talking about one of the greatest and most incredible women of Medieval Europe, St Catherine from Siena, and we will also get lost in a maze of hidden spots and lovely corners off the beaten track. Last but not least, we will unlock the secrets of Siena's most ancient tradition, the Palio horse race, and of its so-called Contradas (districts), which are the 17 beaten hearts of this proud, strong, and still very authentic beautiful city. IMPORTANT: the tour schedule in the system is 10am and 15pm, but the tour times can be arranged directly with the guide upon request.

A two hours enchanting walk, discovering Siena most beloved places. Start in front of the Basilica San Domenico, where the relics of St. Catherine are kept, then continues towards her ancient house. Stroll in the characteristic streets and reach the Cathedral. Decide with your guide if you want to enter shortly to see the unique marble floor and artworks by Donatello, Bernini and Michelangelo. Arrive at the famous Piazza del Campo, the main square, where the Palio (horse race), takes place twice a year. Discover this medieval tradtion and understand why it is so important for the Sienese. The Town Hall is an example of Italian architecture, which houses the important city museum. Admire also the Joyfull Fountain and listen to funny anecdotes about the mysterious river called "Diana". At the end of the tour visit our location in an historic palace, Palazzo Scotti, where you can take amazing pictures from our exclusive windows overlooking Piazza del Campo. Our dynamic team of cooks, tutors and interpreters will guide our guests on a voyage of discovery of traditional cooking, preparing the most typical of the local dishes, home made pasta with sauces of organic seasonal vegetables from our kitchen garden, melt in the mouth home made gnocchi, bruschetta, second courses like Vin Santo chicken or eggplant parmigiana, delicious desserts.. .all accompanied by our own Chianti Colli Senesi wine. The courses are organized for small groups (2 to 14 pax) and make the most, both our own produce, wine, honey, saffron, extra virgin olive oil, our fresh garden vegetables and also other local produce from neighboring farms. The classes start in the morning at 10.30 ending with a delicious lunch or in the afternoon around 15:30 ending with a wonderful dinner, to celebrate the joy of cooking with all the delicious dishes we have prepared together.

Here you will have time to stroll around the town for about an hour. Enjoy some free time shopping in the local artisans shops and take pictures of the incredible architecture of this ancient town.
