Florence Skip The Line Entry Ticket to Bargello Museum
The Museum preserves extraordinary collections of sculpture and “minor arts”.
It is located in an imposing building constructed around the mid-13th century for the Captain of the People, which later became the seat of the podestà and the Council of Justice.
Starting in 1865, some of the most important sculptures of the Renaissance have flowed into the palace, which has become the National Museum, including masterpieces by Donatello, Luca della Robbia, Verrocchio, Michelangelo, and Cellini.
The museum has subsequently been enriched with prestigious collections of bronzes, majolica, waxes, enamels, medals, ivories, ambers, tapestries, furniture, seals, and textiles, partly from the Medici collections and partly from private donations.
