You will have a chance to visit Boyana church and National Historical museum, Pancharevo lake near Sofia and the main sights in Sofia city center.

An English-speaking guide will pick you up from the meeting point in Sofia at 9:00AM and, after about a 2-hours drive with various landscapes to admire along the way, you will reach the Serbian border. After crossing the border you will go the nearby town of Bosilegrad (the former Yugoslavia's main state) before you cross back over the border with Bulgaria and head for Northern Macedonia. After another short drive, you will arrive at the beautiful Monastery of Osogovo – an incredibly powerful place in the hills from the 12th Century, which was later turned into a mosque by the Ottomans, and then again converted into a church. This place is very scenic and peaceful - take time to go for a walk around the area. Afterwards, you will have lunch in a nice restaurant with good Macedonian grill (meat or fish) and Skopsko beer, of course. Please note that the total driving time is around 5 hours.

Our trekking starts at 1800 m. altitude and ends at 2535 m. at the Tear lake - from here you can admire all 7 lakes! Perched high in the vicinity – from 2535 to 2095 m, they cascade down and flow into each other. The sun shines and plays in their blue, crystal-clear waters, but in the shadows of the cirques, the snow remains all year round. 3.30 pm arriving at the complex “Kotva” , the biggest SPA place in the town with a great view to the mountain. . After the hiking, we will immerse in the warmest mineral spring to relax the body. See the only natural geyser in Bulgaria. The last natural beauty we will see after, a short walk is the highest waterfall in the region - Goritsa waterfall 5.00 pm departing for Sofia. During the 5-6 hours trip, you will see really amazing places and landmarks, starting from our meeting point St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, then going by car/van to the breathtaking, 186-metre tall TV tower - Kopitoto ("The Hoof"), situated on top of Vitosha mountain at 1,348 m altitude. You will have unique opportunity to walk around the cliff and take stunning pictures of Sofia from the TOP :)! Next stop will be the popular UNESCO heritage - about 900 years old - Boyana Church. After the visit we go to a very nice traditional Bulgarian restaurant. When we finish our lunch (not included) we will go to another amazing place in the nature - Pancharevo lake and the hot spring mineral pools there :)! Regardless of the weather you will have the pleasure to dip yourself in the hot mineral waters in a outdoor swimming pool with a magnificent view of the lake :)! We will spend 1-2 hours there and then we will bring you back to the starting point in Sofia - St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral :)!

Situated deep in the dense pine forests of Rila Mountain, Rila Monastery is the biggest and most important Orthodox cloister in Bulgaria.It is an outstanding example of the Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage, in which architecture and painting merge harmoniously. The site is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. Rila Monastery was founded in the 10th century by St Ivan Rilski, a hermit canonized by the Orthodox Church. His ascetic dwelling and tomb became a holy place and later on, a monastic complex was formed. It played an important role in the spiritual and social life of medieval Bulgaria. After the guided visit to the Monastery complex and lunch, we will head back to Sofia. On the way, we will stop at the second UNESCO site for the day Boyana church. Small but unique with the most preserved frescoes from 1259 in this part of Europe. The tour will end with drop-off at your hotel/accommodation.

Enjoy a great day trip to the ancient town of Plovdiv - see its old town, Roman heritage and astonishing hills. In the afternoon, take a ride to the nearby Rodopi mountain to discover the remains of the medieval Bulgarian fortress, from which you will also see magnificent panoramic views.
