Plovdiv was originally a Thracian city before later becoming a Greek city, and then a major Roman city. In the Middle Ages, it retained its strategic regional importance, changing hands between the Byzantine and Bulgarian Empires. Plovdiv’s history spans 8,000 years, it’s the second biggest city in Bulgaria, it has traces of a Neolithic settlement dating to roughly 6000 BC. The tour is approximately 2 hours long and features an iconic classic car called a Trabant. The object of the tour is to take you back in time and make you feel what life was like for people living in Bulgaria during the communist era. Riding e-scooters is a fun and easy way to get around the city. In less than three hours, you’ll explore areas that would normally take a whole day on foot. Your English-speaking local guide will introduce you to the history, parks and lifestyle of Bulgaria’s capital. The route mostly follows bike lanes and streets with light traffic. The tour concept is: small groups, 50% sightseeing and 50% riding. The e-scooters' top speed is 20 km/h (13 mph). In some areas, the speed limit is 5 km/h (3 mph). The maximum load is 100 kg (220 lbs). A driving license is not required, but if you can't ride a bike, you can't ride an e-scooter. We'll start the ride with a brief but clear safety introduction. The history of Skopje starts with the settlements of the Thracians and the establishing the fortress of Scupi. The town was part of the Roman, Byzanatine, Bulgarian and for short notice, of the Serbian countries. The Ottomans will conquer the city in 1392. They will change the name to Uskub and the place will convert into unique of its kind town, which will be called home from numerous Ottomans, Bulgarians and Albanians. In 1912, the city will be liberated from the Ottomans during the First Balkan war and eventually become a part of the Serbian country. During the two world wars will be eventually given to the Bulgarian country, before in the end to became part and a capital of the Macedonian Federation in the Yugoslavian socialistic republic. The city will start growing rapidly in economic and industrial way. Unfortunately a huge earthquake in 1963 has destroyed a huge part of the town, leaving more than 100 000 people without homes.

Rafting on Iskar River is a good place for a day trip, close to Sofia. It is good as for adults, such as for younger participants and is perfect for a family vacation. The rafting trip takes about 1.5 hours, and you go through about 10km the guide leads you through many rapids with different profiles and difficulties. Your guide will provide you with all the needed equipment (neoprene suit, neoprene shoes, pfd jacket, helmet, you just need to have a bathing suit, towel, and a t-shirt.
