Today we'll be touring Yellowstone's upper, or northern loop, including visiting the best location in the lower 48 states to see wildlife! There are frequent stops along the way! Starting in West Yellowstone, we'll travel along the Grand Loop Road until we get to Canyon Village, where we'll head north, climbing up Dunraven Pass towards Mount Washburn. The tour passes through good grizzly bear terrain before stopping at Tower Falls. The Lamar Valley, Yellowstone's prime area for wildlife viewing, is the next major destination, followed by Mammoth Hot Springs. Over 60 years ago, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake rocked Yellowstone, creating landslides which blocked rivers, destroying roads and buildings almost 50 miles away from its epicenter. Since then, the blocked river has turned into a beautiful lake, new infrastructure has been built, and amazing views are there for us to discover from the air. On this flight over the historic epicenter of the 1959 earthquake, experience views that only a few get to see of Yellowstone's history. Along with the history, you will see amazing views of lakes, rivers, mountains, and so much more that make up this beautiful area.
