Your New York State Licensed Hiking Guide will take you on a hiking adventure 400 steps on a stone staircase into the Niagara River gorge and hike along the old railway trail to the Schoellkopf Power Plant Ruins. The hike features some narrow and rocky trails with great photo opportunities for nature lovers. You'll have individual time to explore and learn about the power plant. We will take an elevator to the rim of the gorge and hike back to the tour starting point.

Grand Island is home to the only heron rookery on the Niagara River, and on your hiking trail Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Black Crowing Night Herons and little green herons are in your sight. Visit the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, located in the original Allan Herschell Company factory building. The museums exhibits feature a carving floor, paint shop, assembly roundhouse, and loading dock. Explore the various rooms within the 7-structure complex.
