Take in the stunning state parks of Emerald Bay, Eagle Lake, D.L. Bliss and Sugar Pine, scattered along Lake Tahoe’s West shore, on a driving tour. On this tour, you’ll explore the early community of Al Tahoe, the Tallac Historic Site, and view three early Tahoe summer homes. The tour continues with optional hikes to Vikingsholm at Emerald Bay, Eagle Falls, and Eagle Rock. I would love to be your Tahoe local friend and lead you on a 2 mile hike to a beautiful overlook of Emerald Bay and the ENTIRE Lake Tahoe basin. In my 25 years of living here, I have explored many of the trails and much of shoreline around Tahoe and this vantage point is one of my favorites. Also available for the sunrise, sunset, and/or moonrise! Great for groups and team building. Beginner and kid friendly too. Intermediate-level hike available too. I am happy to try and accommodate mobility challenged/differently abled folks on the hike. The experience begins with a paved walk on a campground road. Then the trail turns to dirt with a slight incline for about ¼ mile until we get to the lookout point. If you are visiting Tahoe during the winter time, the hike will most likely be covered in snow. Snow boots or hiking boots will be needed. I can bring a sled to help tow the kiddos. The hike may be weather dependent due to heavy snowfall.

Enjoy the majesty of Lake Tahoe while kayaking in one of our tandem (2-person) kayaks. Our shallow water launch spot is the perfect place for beginners and experts, alike. You can access some of the best views in Lake Tahoe, including the Upper Truckee River, Secret Beach, Mount Tallac, and Cave Rock. Your tandem (double) kayak will keep you afloat among the gentle waves and light wind that cross the lake in the early morning and afternoon as you float by the granite boulders and massive sugar pines that ring the lake. The time will pass quickly as you work your muscles and push yourself throughout the three hours until you return to disembark for your next adventure - unless you decide to upgrade to a full day rental!

All of our guides are Lifeguard Certified with the American Red Cross, and we allow our guest to swim if they like during the tour ;-) We use Light Weight Fully Carbon Fiber Paddles for enhanced user experience. During our tour, you will get the chance to encounter Lake Tahoe from a whole new perspective. We will spend 1.5 hours on the lake exploring the beautiful eastern shoreline and viewing some of the most photographed and iconic granite boulders on the lake. On warmer days we encourage guests to swim, cooling off in lake Tahoes mostly sub 70 degree water. There is also an option to jump off some rocks into the water for a more thrilling adventure.
