Make the best of your time in Tenerife and visit the wonderful historical center of La Laguna and the Anaga Biosphere Reserve. Then, you will continue to Anaga Reserve, It is a protected natural space, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve on June 9 2015 and is the place with the highest amount of endemism in Europe. At the end of the tour, your private driver will take you back to your hotel or starting point in Tenerife.

The aboriginal kingdoms of Tenerife, known as menceyatos, were nine distinct territories ruled by indigenous leaders called menceyes before the Spanish conquest in the 15th century. These menceyatos were the regions of Taoro, Tegueste, Tacoronte, Anaga, Güímar, Abona, Adeje, Icod, and Daute. Each menceyato had its own social structure, economy, and culture, with agriculture, livestock, and fishing being the main activities. The Guanches, the indigenous people of Tenerife, practiced a polytheistic religion and lived in cave dwellings, showing a rich culture that blended communal and hierarchical elements.

By early January, the almond blossom starts to bloom in the hills and mountains of Tenerife and lasts until about the end of February. The Almond Blossom Trail is a truly beautiful walk as during this time of year the landscape is dotted with shades of pink and white. This walk takes us through open countryside, farm land and the lava flows from the 1909 eruption at the Chinyero vent and has spectacular views over the mountains and down to sea.
