We designed this program with a goal of maximizing direct participant experience in makgeolli making from the beginning to the end. The introduction to the traditional Korean alcohol with a storytelling (folktale) will help participants get acclimated to the experience, even if they are new to Korean culture. Lastly, we support our audience engaging in a sustainable practice through utilizing reusable items. This activity also serves as a solid team-building activity as team effort is essential in making traditional alcohol. If needed, we can also help you customize the program (location, program length, available snacks, etc.) for your group upon request.

It is not only a place for delicious Korean street food but also where you can feel the traditional and cultural vibe of Korea. Mangwon market has been around for over 40 years. Moreover, with the huge number of stalls and long queues, it is difficult to come across which food to get! Our hosts will be splitting into different roles to pick up some of our favourite food to share while some of us will show you around the market. Then, we will head to the Han-river with the food for a picnic. The parks around the Han-river is famous for its ambience for the perfect picnic. As soon as flowers start to bloom in spring, all the locals come out to Han-gang in the weekend to enjoy the sun and food. Total duration: About 4.5 hours Climbing Bukhansan can be challenging. The Bukhansan Rescue Team reports that someone gets lost every week, usually foreign tourists. Some hiking experience or good physical condition is recommended. - No need for professional hiking gear, but wear supportive shoes (hiking boots are ideal). - The trail is 3.5 km (2.17 miles) one way, with a 530 m (1,740 ft) elevation gain — about the same as climbing 200 floors — so expect a steady uphill hike.
