Kapama Private Game Reserve is located in the heart of the safari hub of South Africa, adjacent to the Greater Kruger Park and close to the main tourist attractions in Hoedspruit. Kapama River Lodge is the largest safari lodge in the 13 000-hectare protected wilderness reserve

Kapama is a fenced private game reserve between the Blyde River Valley and Kruger National Park and is located adjacent to the Greater Kruger. The Kapama and Klaserie rivers cut through the reserve, which in turn draws an abundance of animals and birds to their lush banks, making Kapama the perfect destination for people with a love of wildlife and photography.
Madikwe Game Reserve is situated in the North West Province and is bordered by Botswana in the north, the Dwarsberg Mountains to the south, and the Marico river to the east. The diverse habitat in the reserve, from acacia savannah to riverine, ensures a unique combination of species, including wild dog, cheetah, lion, white and black rhino, buffalo and elephant. The birdlife is spectacular and it is also one of the few reserves in South Africa that is malaria free. With the inception of "Operation Phoenix" which began in 1993, more than 8,000 heads of game were brought into the park over a six year period. In 1996, predators were introduced in Madikwe, first cheetahs, wild dogs and hyenas, later also lions from the Etosha National Park (Namibia) and the neighbouring Pilanesberg National Park. 180 elephants came from the Gonarezhou Game Reserve in Zimbabwe which had been hit by a disastrous drought.
From Johannesburg, we depart to Hartbeespoort Dam and Magaliesberg Mountain offers amazing views on water and land. At Snake and Animal Park, we proceed to learn more about these endangered species such as South African reptiles. At Cradle of Human Kind Maropeng The Site guide will take over and we will enter Cradle via a prehistoric mound and after a boat ride that will take us through a journey of creation of life on the planet and mankind's evolution, to exit into the 21st century.
Lesedi Cultural Village offers a cultural dance performance as part of its two-hour cultural tours. The tours are held daily from 11:30 AM Visitors are welcomed with a traditional dance and song. The village also offers beside cultural tours, homestays.
