In a short while, you’ll find your designated chimpanzee troop which you’ll follow and stick with for the next one hour. Mount Bisoke, slightly easier, features a stunning crater lake at its summit and is known for its biodiversity, including chances to spot wildlife like golden monkeys or signs of mountain gorillas. The hike typically takes 4-6 hours round trip, depending on the volcano and your pace, with trails winding through dense forests. You’ll need moderate fitness, sturdy hiking boots, and rain gear.
