Your private tour begins at the Shrine of Fatima. A place of pilgrimage and Catholic worship. It was built to commemorate the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima to the three little shepherds in 1917. The construction began with the Chapel of the Apparitions, but currently it has two other basilicas due to the need to increase the reception area. Near lunch time we will go to Nazaré, an old fishing village, today known as the place where the biggest wave in the world, about 30 meters high, was surfed. Even for those who are not big fans of surfing, Nazaré has its charms with fish drying in the sun and varinas (fisherwomen) selling to passing tourists.
