This tour is meant to show you what our Island Barbecue is all about! We will start by going to the local market and get everything needed for our lunch, which provides us the chance of getting your favorite foods and drinks! The local market gives us the opportunity to choose from a variety of meats, fishes and vegetables that we can bring to our barbecue. After we are all set and done with both food and drinks, we will choose the best outdoor location, according to both the weather and the day (holidays and weekends are very busy), and we'll set camp and start cooking! Everything on this activity is included in terms of equipment and both the foods and drinks are also included in the price, as long as approved by our tour guide, which will also be cooking for you! Transportation is also included from your hotel and back to it.

This tour focuses on the interior dirt roads of Terceira Island, exploring the rich nature ever present in the Azores. We start our tour picking up the travellers in the hotel lobby and visiting Monte Brasil, where we have a bird's eye view of Angra do Heroísmo. Following this, we'll drive through the dirt roads of Serra da Ribeirinha, passing by different viewpoints and villages, with several opportunities for pictures. After lunch, we may visit Algar do Carvão (tickets not included), where we can learn all sorts of things about volcanic eruptions and their formations. Passagem das Bestas, is a 4-hour walk on a 4 km trail in the interior of the island of Terceira, and takes place in a protected area belonging to the Terceira natural park. On this trail it is possible to observe relheiras (marks of ox cart wheels) that for centuries transported wood from the interior of the island) engraved in volcanic rock; be amazed by the beauty of Caldeira Guilherme Moniz (volcano crater); fall in love with the endemic and invasive flora; discover breathtaking landscapes; relax to the sound of migratory and resident birds in the Azores. The trail is of medium difficulty, on terrain with few flat parts, has a maximum elevation of 100 m, is a circular route and is approximately 4 km long.

The trail begins on the north coast, in the village of Biscoitos and is a trail rich in landscapes and culture, allowing the understanding of rural dynamics that lie there within. The different tracks experienced during the walk are associated to all the different senses such as smells, sounds and colors. This trail takes us into the interior of Terceira Island, passing through some of the highest points in our island - up to 2600ft - walking through amazing japonese cedar plantations and native vegetation, making the viewpoints mesmerizing!
