When we first arrived in San Miguel de Allende, the only thing I missed was good cheese. It took some time and effort, but I finally discovered several superb local artisan cheesemakers hiding in plain sight.
Known as the Empress of Cheese, I've been studying the art and science of cheese for over 20 years in Canada, the US, France and in Italy and have spent the last few years exploring the culture of Mexican cheese, specifically, artisan made European style cheeses. Now I share my knowledge and the divine cheeses I've found with others.
Come learn about the rich history of European influences in Mexican artisan cheese and where to buy, how to serve and pair these cheeses with drinks and condiments and how set up a French inspired cheeseboard. Everything is sourced locally from the artisan cheeses to the herbs, flowers, honey and other ingredients used in the class.
The class is held in our home with a view over the city with the beautiful pink marble Parroquia in the center.
Our photography tours are designed to take you through the most picturesque spots of San Miguel de Allende, often away from the typical tourist paths, while also helping you perfect your photography skills. Along the way, you'll not only visit the city's most beautiful and hidden gems, but also learn how to use light, composition, perspective, selective focus, and other techniques to elevate your photography. Whether you're working with a DSLR, mirrorless camera or a smartphone, our expert guidance will ensure you leave with photos to be proud of.

Get to know Mineral de Pozos! Place where you can still see the remains of what was a large wealthy town thanks to its mining industry. Currently, its imposing buildings show us the loneliness resulting from a sad decay, abandoned over time. Pozos was founded in 1576 to protect the Chichimecas' silver route. Because it was very difficult to civilize this indigenous group, this work was entrusted to the Jesuits who realized the wealth found in the minerals of this area and taught
these people techniques to extract and exploit metals. Pozos has had several periods of wealth, but the day came when the minerals were exhausted and this Ghost Town was left for the admiration of adventurous visitors;
