Caution:- We visit Kabuki-cho. Kabuki cho is red light district. Some of the tour spots may not be children / teenagers friendly. We do not recommend joining the tour with children. Walkers must walk about 8000 steps. Some people blamed me because I brought them to Kabuki-cho,redlight district. But,when it comes to Shinjuku,we can not avoid Kabukicho. Shinjuku has two aspects. West area, there is Tokyo metropolitan government office,tall office buildings and over 600 years Buddhist temple. East area, there is Kabuki-cho,biggest redlight district which is very different from Amsterdam. You can see various sexual business there. Through the area,sacred Shinto shrine appears. At Shimbashi Tamakiya, which has been in business since 1782, you can learn about the history of onigiri, the Japanese soul food, and how to make it in English or French, using tsukudani, a traditional food that has been passed down since the Edo period, and furikake. You can enjoy making onigiri yourself in this historic restaurant. You can also enjoy a tasting of three types of sake that go well with rice (additional charge of 1,000 yen). You can take a commemorative photo wearing a traditional woven cloth called a happi. You will also receive a souvenir that will help you make onigiri easily after you return home.
