This photo workshop focuses primarily on black and white, high contrast photography in the urban environment - sometimes color shots are recommended depending on the situation. We’ll explore a few of these cool locations and learn about how to create images that incorporate geometry, shadows, reflections, silhouettes and leading lines. During the workshop I'll be offering tips and advice about photography composition, use of light and capturing the moment with your camera.

The lesson will have manga tools such as manga-paper, manga pens and ink, screen-tone, etc, prepared for your use. All you have to do is bring yourself. The teacher is Nao Yazawa, she is most well known for her manga series Wedding Peach, which was made into an anime series of the same name. Both the manga and anime series were translated into several languages. Since 2008, she has been teaching manga workshops (in English) internationally, in Germany, Denmark, Austria, Canada, and the United States.
