Your guide will provide you with a wealth of information regarding Saint Mark's Square and then accompany you on a detailed tour of the Golden Basilica in the afternoon, from Saint Mark's square, once the private chapel of the Doge of Venice, the only one of its kind in Italy, thanks to the sumptuous golden mosaics and impressive marble inlay flooring. During the tour you will be able absorb the atmosphere whilst listening to your guide who will describe the biblical scenes represented throughout the building, together with history and particularities of this ancient Basilica. The tour lasts one hour and concludes outside the Basilica in Saint Mark's Square.

This tour is a compromise between an informative walk and a food tour. I will take you to 2 different "bacari" where you will taste a glass of wine (or soft drink) and a cicchetto in each bar and the last place will be to taste a fantastic homemade ICE CREAM (in the summer) or a typical dessert. At the same time I will show you a more authentic and less touristy Venice, we will see a courtyard with a legendary history, a particular bridge, buildings out of time, I will tell you anecdotes and curiosities about this splendid city ... and much more! During the lesson, your host will reveal the tricks of the trade of 3 authentic Venetian recipes. Have fun putting your cooking skills to the test. Participants will have a workstation equipped with utensils and all the ingredients to make the dishes.
