The hiking tour starting in Alba, the Langhe capital, passes through the hills around the town providing walkers with a vantage point to enjoy a panorama overlooking the surrounding hills and valleys. Wine assumes a unique importance in this region. The Piedmont vineyard landscape is undoubtedly one of the most harmonious and most consistent with the ideal of a “scenic” rural and vineyard landscape, accentuated by the gently rolling hills that provide many vistas and panoramas with subtle nuances. In the middle of walking, just on the top of the hill, the winery waits you for a delicious wine tasting with small bites of traditional local products. This tour is indicated for tourists that arrive in Alba by pubblic transportation especially and without a car. This tour is recommended for people in good shape, used to walk uphill. Your culinary adventure begins in a traditional local market, surrounded by the stunning hills of the Langhe, where I’ll guide you through the art of selecting the finest seasonal ingredients—from vibrant vegetables to regional specialties—just like a true Italian chef. You’ll learn how to spot quality, understand what makes each product unique, and why these choices matter in authentic Italian cooking. Back in the kitchen, we’ll prepare classic dishes together. I’ll share tips, techniques, and stories from my 13+ years as a professional chef. This isn’t just a cooking class—it’s a full immersion into the flavors, traditions, and soul of one of Italy’s most treasured food and wine regions.

We will visit the Langhe, a UNESCO world heritage site since 2014, from an ecological and sporting point of view. A few kilometers away from Alba, we will travel along little-traveled routes, on dirt and asphalt roads and you will have a professional at your disposal who will be able to help you make the best use of your ebike and will explain what surrounds you so that you can better appreciate this wonderful wine-growing region. The route is approximately 40 kilometers long with a difference in altitude of 640 metres, therefore suitable for medium-trained cyclists. We will discover the main natural resources of this magnificent land and admire the castles and medieval villages, in a setting that will take us back in time. The dirt route is of intermediate level and safe for everyone. In case of difficulty in tackling the parts on dirt road, the guide will show you how to do it safely, or he will change the route to asphalt to make it easier and more fun for everyone.

Langhe is a kingdom of good wine and fabulous food. You can visit this area for its smooth and romantic hills, or for Barolo and local delicacies,... or both of them, of course! The experience takes place in the home of a local professional Wine Taster from ONAV (the Italian Association of Wine Tasters). Together with your host you will: - Learn the basic techniques of wine tasting in order to detect and enjoy its different notes and aromas - Taste 3 different regional wines and discover their characteristics. The tasting session includes: Dolcetto, Roero Arneis, Malvasia (or similar wines). The wine tasting will be paired with savory regional food: a table of cold cuts and cheese or vegetarian appetizers. Of course, if you do not finish the wine during the tasting session, don’t worry... You can take it back home and enjoy it afterwards! As this experience is private, you will have the time to ask all the information you would like to have in a lively and authentic atmosphere.

THE ITINERARY: After you become familiar with your Segway® over the training phase, you will be led through the streets of the historic center of Alba and up the hill to the surrounding hills to admire the striking view of the city and the beautiful landscapes of Langhe hills. It's a great way to get a tour of Alba and vineyards surrounding the town. The last 30-40 minutes will be dedicated to returning to the town. It's an ecological and technological approach to getting around, which is at the same time, an unforgettable and enjoyable experience, and a sure way to appreciate the landscape and vineyards. The vineyard is in one of the highest municipalities in the Alta Langa: Cissone, at 650m above sea level. The height and the mountain climate allow us to achieve an extraordinary result: at the time of harvest (end of August - September) the grapes reach a degree of maturity combined with an exceptional freshness that would be impossible to obtain at lower altitudes. The result? Complex wine and at the same time soft, creamy, very pleasant! We are in no hurry: we let our Classic Method refine for at least 40 months on its yeasts at a controlled temperature. Only at the moment we deem optimal do we put it on the market. We thus manage to obtain a rich straw yellow colour, a fine perlage, complex aromas of aromatic herbs and ripe fruit, a long persistence on notes of sweet almond. With the visit you will understand the secrets of the production of Classic Method bubbles and why the right approach and patience can lead to exceptional results!
