The drive to the highland is quite beatiful - driving through the farmland of South Iceland and then the driving through the highland to Landmannalaugar is a scenic drive with everchanging landscape on both sides. On the hike you will see lava field, geothermal hot spring area, more colours than you can imagine and experience one of the best day hikes of your life. To dip into a natural hot spring pool after the hike gives the day a new meaning.
