Hi to all, I'm Alvaro, a Venezuelan living in the beautiful Tamarindo Beach, Costa Rica, a surf instructor, and the Manager of Tidal Wave Surf Academy. My journey with surfing started in Venezuela, 18 years ago, on a beach called Chirimena, and I surfed almost all of Venezuela's central coast. Four years ago, I arrived in Tamarindo, fell in love with this beach town, and started to provide surf lessons. I am an ISA-certified Certified Surf Instructor and I have vast experience teaching children and adults to surf. Surfing has given me balance, calm, and a sense of meaning, and I enjoy transmitting the passion of surfing by teaching people the sport that has given me so much. This is a very popular ATV tour. We start in Brasilito and hit south fom there, along the beaches and through the dry forests of Guanacaste. We’ll cover a lot of ground and visit Playa Puerto Viejo, Playa Bahia de los Piratas and Playa Minas where a small hike is optional to see a beautiful viewpoint, also along the trip we will stop to take beautiful pictures and as well will be optional so swim for a little time on the ocean.

In one of the most important spawnings and nesting sites in Costa Rica, you'll be able to appreciate in the middle of pure nature, to observe the Green Sea Turtle ( also known as the black turtle) and the Olive Ridley Turtle, could possibly see the very rare Leatherback Turtles. During the warmest months of the year in Guanacaste, we find the peak season (predominantly from October through May), when it's possible especially at night to observe turtles come out of the water, building their nests, laying their eggs, and even can observe sometimes babies hatching and going out to the ocean!!
