Palo Verde National Park is one of the most biologically diverse sites in Costa Rica. It comprises a rich mosaic of more than 15 different natural communities, including lowland deciduous forest, evergreen forest, flood forest, limestone hill deciduous forest, zacatonal forest and mangrove forest. The wetlands, which represent 50% of the park area, are a sanctuary for thousands of waterfowl, residents and migrators.
More than 750 species of plants have been identified.Here are also 5 of the 6 mangrove species existing in the country crocodiles, howler monkeys, white monkeys, we will also hike in the rainforest of bijagua near the Tenorio volcano, to see frogs, snakes, birds, insects and of course sloths.
