The Maleku Indigenous Reserve is located in the Northern Region of Costa Rica. The reserve is home to three different villages, known as Palenques Margarita, Tonjibe y El Sol, all within the 2993 hectares (7395 acres) territory. The population is 1000 indigenous, and 80% speak the native dialect called Maleku Jaica. This is not only an adventure tour, the guide will focus on each of the needs of our customers making them feel comfortable and accompanied at all times, but also learn a lot about history,wildlife and other important aspects of our community. The tour lasts two hours, in which you will cross streams, primary and secondary forests,cassava plantations, take a break at the Fortuna River, where you can swim in natural pools and drive through streams, and also visit the first cemetery of Fortuna, which is on our property. All this accompanied by a brief talk by our guides. We offer free transportation from most areas, and a nominal fee for hotels located outside the area, 250cc Honda ATV for 1 person, and 420cc for two people, helmets, and hydration

Our tour starts at 1:30pm. We drive for 20 minutes to the entrance of the Arenal Volcano.Then , you will hike up adventurous trails to the highest part allowed explore , right there you can see the lava fields from the last eruption of the Volcano in (1968 and 2010) . Around 6 miles of extreme natural trails will be explored by you, there is a big possibility to find frogs,snakes, parrots and lots more. There is abundance of nature and the Arenal Volcano view is impressive. After the hike, we will take you to the Natural Hot Springs, relaxing in this place for about 1 hour. The drop off time at the hotels is around 5 30 pm.
