The best hike in Rio ever! Pedra da Gávea is the largest block of stone by the sea in the world! It’s hard about 2-3 hours hike but certainly it will be awesome. The tour is an adventure since the beginning, hiking into the Tijuca Forest and experiencing its wild life. There´s only a small easy climbing section that you climb with a guide & all safety equipment. At the top you can get the best view of all the beaches of south and west zones, the main mountains, and if you lucky you can see base jumpers and wing suits crossing the sky to land on the beach! Pico da Tijuca Hiking Tour The Tijuca Peak is the highest point in the Tijuca National Park, 1022 meters above sea level, the second highest in Rio. Accessible by track, your plateau allows observation of the city in 360 degrees, making it a Rios reference. The staircase with 177 steps at the end of the trail was excavated in the early twentieth century. The president sent sculpt the staircase to the visit of the King of Belgium.
