Enjoy the experience seeing a variety of animals from around the world at the Melbourne Zoo. You'll find creatures from diverse habitats including the lush Asian and African rainforests and the sun-baked Australian bush. Explore open-air exhibits showcasing your favorite animals like zebras, giraffes, kangaroos, lemurs and monkeys. With a relaxed 2pm departure from Melbourne's Southern Cross Station (Coach Terminal) we head straight to Phillip Island via the Bass Coast Hyw with panoramic views of Western Port & French Island. Crossing onto Phillip Island at San Remo our first stop is Seal Rocks and the Nobbies Centre to take a walk along the boardwalk and soak in the stunning views back towards the Mornington Peninsula from Phillip Island’s most western point. And then it’s onwards to the main event, the Phillip Island penguin tour. Just after dark every night, the world’s smallest penguins waddle ashore after spending the day fishing out at sea. You’ll be truly captivated as the stars of the show emerge from the surf and pass right before your eyes on their journey back to their burrows. An evening meal (own expense) can be enjoyed prior of after the Penguin Parade depending on season. A trip to Phillip Island is a must for nature lovers and those seeking a unique Australian experience. The island is home to a collection of Australian native wildlife including the famous little penguins, fur seals and koalas. This insightful tour lets you get up close and personal with these animals and shows off the rugged coastline, where the rocky shoreline meets sandy beaches, often lined with keen surfers.

Our small group (8 guests max) will depart Melbourne and head straight to the famous 12 Apostles before the masses of people arrive. Here we will take a 1km stroll along the boardwalk while appreciating the stunning views of the limestone stacks before continuing onto Gibson Steps. We walk down the 70m cliffside pathway to the beach where there is plenty of time to take some incredible photos. Next it’s time for a delicious lunch at our favourite local cafe before we’ll drive through the magical Great Otway National Park and take a short hike through ancient rainforests to one of the Otways' pristine waterfalls (where the big bus companies can’t go). Our next stop we will take a stroll amongst the giants of the forest at the Californian Redwoods before continuing along the iconic Great Ocean Road stopping at Apollo Bay for an optional ice cream. Kennett River is next where you’ll get the chance to spot native koalas, king parrots & kangaroos going about their routines.

The Great Ocean Road is travelled by more than 3.5million visitors each year. We have designed this Reverse Great Ocean Road Tour to avoid the crowds at peak times and to also allow our guests to see the awe inspiring 12 Apostles in the morning sun light which brightly illuminates this incredible rock formation. Journey along the entire Great Ocean Road stopping to walk through an ancient rainforest, explore quaint seaside villages, encounter wild Koalas and see the many incredible cliff top lookouts along the way.
